Myrtle Beach – Hawaiian Village II
In a follow up to this popular post on the Hawaiian Village in Myrtle Beach, SC, I add this vintage postcard of the exterior.

Great sign, and what looks like a 15 foot tiki out front.

It is good to see more of this place….

My family and I are planning a trip to Myrtle Beach this weekend, staying at a different resort. Thanks to your blurb, I think I will swing by there and check it out. Thanks again.

Stayed there, did that. My grandparents decided one sumeer in the late sixties to stay there instead of with me and the folks (I was all of ten I think) in Cherry Grove at our usual spot. I remember the restaurant well, and how my parents enjoyed being able to find a spot to actually dance while in Myrtle. Thanks for the memories!

I grew up in Myrtle Beach…Had my first cocktail there, in the Bora Bora Room. The restaurant had a waterfall and stream that flowed throughout the dinning room…several bamboo bridges…Oh what memories.

My dad designed this place in the late 60′s. As a kid I always loved going for a visit. Two things that I still remember about it is that it had a river running through the middle of it and the bar had a slot machine. I know gambling was illegal but it was the 60′s in Myrtle Beach and I guess no one was too concerned
