Home of “Chicken in the Rough” which Miss Opal tells me was just chicken in a basket. It turns out to be right across the street from Opal’s and used to be Pero’s they tell me, but I am not sure.

Here it is today as McKay’s Used Books. It has had some serious remodeling over the years. That door out front is the only point of comparison.

Here’s a close up of the sign for “Chicken in the Rough.” Notice the golf ball and club.
Apparently this was a chain as I have found a lot of pieces on the Internet from other places.
