They are both green mugs from the &#8220;Luau Hut&#8221; in Silver Spring<strike>s<\/strike>, Maryland.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"imagelink\" title=\"Luau Hut Ku\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.swankpad.org\/blather\/\/uploads\/2006\/06\/luauhut1.jpg\" target=\"_target\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" width=\"840\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" id=\"image33\" height=\"96\" alt=\"Luau Hut Ku\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.swankpad.org\/blather\/\/uploads\/2006\/06\/luauhut1.thumbnail.jpg?fit=840%2C96\" align=\"left\" \/><\/a>The first is a Ku, OMC mug, which is the same design used by the <a title=\"Swank Pad visits Daytona\" href=\"http:\/\/www.swankpad.org\/places\/daytona\/daytona.htm\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Hawaiian Inn&#8221; in Daytona<\/a> and others.<br clear=\"left\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"imagelink\" title=\"Luau Hut hula\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.swankpad.org\/blather\/\/uploads\/2006\/06\/luauhut2.jpg\" target=\"_target\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" width=\"840\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" id=\"image34\" height=\"96\" alt=\"Luau Hut hula\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.swankpad.org\/blather\/\/uploads\/2006\/06\/luauhut2.thumbnail.jpg?fit=840%2C96\" align=\"left\" \/><\/a><a class=\"imagelink\" title=\"Luau Hut hula close\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.swankpad.org\/blather\/\/uploads\/2006\/06\/154-5422_IMG.jpg\" target=\"_target\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" width=\"840\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" id=\"image35\" height=\"96\" alt=\"Luau Hut hula close\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.swankpad.org\/blather\/\/uploads\/2006\/06\/154-5422_IMG.thumbnail.jpg?fit=840%2C96\" align=\"left\" \/><\/a>The second is very unique. The full figure hula dancer is rather unusual, but her large breasts with nipples exposed is truly rare. I can&#8217;t recall seeing nipples on any other mugs. Nice.<br clear=\"left\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is the second and third mug found in Knoxville thrift stores from Maryland tiki bars. The other was from the <a title=\"Critiki linky\" href=\"http:\/\/www.critiki.com\/cgi-bin\/location.cgi?loc_id=350\" target=\"_blank\">Emerson Hotel&#8217;s &#8220;Hawaiian Room.&#8221;<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0Makes me wonder if they all came from the same person.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Monday, our avid junkin&#8217; friend brought us two vintage mugs from thrift stores.
