He created many of the great drink recipes that we all know now as &#8220;Tropical Drinks&#8221; or &#8220;Tiki Drinks.&#8221; He created what we call the tiki bar. Victor Bergeron copied him. They <em>all<\/em> copied him.<\/p>\n<p>The motto for &#8220;Don the Beachcombers&#8221; is a good one: &#8220;Where good rum is immortalized and drinking is an art.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I urge you all to toast your father on his birthday with one of the drinks\u00c2\u00a0he created. I will be saluting with a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/wiki.webtender.com\/wiki\/Navy_Grog\" title=\"Navy Grog recipe\">Navy Gr<\/a>og. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.crazedmugs.com\" title=\"Crazed Mugs\">Pablus<\/a> says he&#8217;ll make a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/wiki.webtender.com\/wiki\/Demerara_Dry_Float\" title=\"Demerara Dry Float recipe\">Demerara Dry Float<\/a>. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/wiki.webtender.com\/wiki\/Special:Search?search=%22don+the+beachcomber%22\" title=\"recipes\">More recipes here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Special night at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.forbiddenislandalameda.com\" title=\"Forbidden Island\">Forbidden Island<\/a> of course.
